AlumatIQ is a Norwegian high-tech company, firmly rooted in the Norwegian smelting industry. We specialize in robotics, automation and digitalization solutions for the aluminum smelting industry.
The company is headquartered in Mosjøen, with operations on several locations.
AlumatIQ Test Center
AlumatIQ has established a test and development center at Nesna in the Helgeland region. The test center will be expanded to manage the testing and FAT of the complete system.
AlumatIQ is firmly rooted in the Norwegian smelting industry. Our name both emphasize and challenge the need for a smarter way to smelt aluminum, by introducing robotic automation into the heart of the aluminum production – the electrolysis process of alumina.
Development of our robotics system started in 2016, in close cooperation with industrial partners like Momek Group and Avanti Engineering (Goodtech). CoFounder joined as financial and commercial partner in 2020.
Research and development of our system is backed by Innovation Norway, The Research Council of Norway, SINTEF, and customers. We have brought together leading experts with deep domain knowledge of robotics, automation, mechanical and electrical engineering and HSEQ.
